Heilyn nodded his head appreciatively. "When I had some free time, and when I had a laptop..." He trailed off sadly as he remembered that he had destroyed it when they had been watching a certain video message...he shook his head and continued, "I would use to watch RoosterTeeth and some other commentary channels. They're pretty entertaining, I'll admit. I will also admit that I got Rovelaen into a few of them too." He smirked as he remembered the times when he would force Rovelaen to sit in front of his laptop screen.

Christie rolled her eyes. "If you two can get your hands on another laptop, I reckon you could spend hours just watching idiots play video games." She liked playing video games, but watching others do it bored her. She caught Kaci's raised eyebrow. "What?"

"Oh, nothing, 'one-armed bandit'." She grinned as Christie's face turned a bright shade of pink. She'd forgotten about that aspect of her childhood, one of the nicer bits when nothing was going wrong for her, but it didn't mean the internet had forgotten and if she'd been signed in on the computer Kaci had found, then her own living nightmare would ensue.

Heilyn smirked as he finished off the rest of his hot chocolate. The cafeteria was still fairly crowded, but a few members had already left, probably headed back to their rooms. It was early evening at this point. "Well, if we want to go, we should get going before the store closes. We still have to find the store too. Should I drag Rovelaen out of bed for this?" he asked to no one in particular.

Kaci finished off the last of her tea and stood up, collecting all three cups to take back to the counter. "If you're going to drag him along, then you'd better go wake him up now, hadn't you?" She smirked as she walked off and Christie shook her head.

"Kaci and I have to grab brollies as well, if it's still raining. Getting soaked once is bad enough for today." Though they'd get soaked again walking back over to their rooms, which was where they'd been heading when Nik ran into them.

"All righty then, I'll meet you guys by the Circus entrance in a few minutes. If Rovelaen does come, expect him to be in a foul mood. He hates getting woken up," he said with a smile as he tapped the table as a goodbye and made his way out of the cafeteria. He slipped his hood on, since he was still wearing his rain coat, and quickly sprinted towards his room. He didn't have any umbrellas to bring with him, so he would have to make do with what he had. He made it back to his room in record time and opened the door, peeking in to find Rovelaen still spread out on his bed.

He shut the door behind him as he walked over and leaned over the bird. "Yo! Rovelaen! Wake up!" he shouted as loud as he could, making the bird instantly raise its head and jump into the air. Heilyn laughed as he leaned back so that he didn't get hit in the face, and he could practically feel the anger rolling off of Rovelaen as the bird looked at him and said thickly, "What on earth was that for? What's the matter with you?"

Heilyn shoved his hands into his pockets as he replied coolly, "Christie, Kaci and I are planning a movie marathon tonight, and we were going into town to rent some ridiculous action movies. I was wondering if you wanted to come."

Rovelaen reluctantly shifted into his human form, and he ran his fingers through his hair. "You rudely woke me up for that?" he asked irritably.

Heilyn frowned as he watched Rovelaen play with his hair. He was grateful that it had grown back to its original length, because he had felt guilty for cutting it off. He would've thought that would put Rovelaen in a better mood. "Don't be so mean. I thought about you and wanted you to come," he whined.

"Fine, I'll go. I haven't spent a lot of time with Kaci much anyways, so now is as good a time as any," Rovelaen said as he stood up and stretched. "Are we leaving now?"

"We'll meet them at the entrance," Heilyn said with a nod of his head, and Rovelaen sighed.

"All right, let's get going."

As Heilyn and Rovelaen walked through the Circus, Rovelaen glanced at Heilyn out of the corner of his eye, watching him cautiously. Heilyn still had his hands shoved in his pockets, and he was looking up at the dark gray sky. He looked brooding, so Rovelaen asked, "What's up with you? You're usually not so quiet."

"I'm just...thinking," Heilyn replied casually. He looked over at him and wrinkled his nose. "How come you're not wet?"

Rovelaen looked down at his body and smirked. "I'm invisible, that's why. I'm not corporeal when I'm invisible, remember?"

"Why are you invisible right now?" Heilyn asked.

"So I wouldn't have to get wet, obviously," Rovelaen retorted playfully, making Heilyn roll his eyes. They were the first ones at the entrance, and Heilyn hoped the others wouldn't take too long. Rovelaen leaned against the fence and crossed his arms. He narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "So you only said Kaci and Christie were coming with us. You didn't think to invite Saiph?"

Heilyn flinched at her name. "I haven't seen her in a few days, so no, inviting her didn't occur to me. If she knew I was going, she wouldn't go anyways."

Rovelaen merely nodded his head. He didn't want to make Heilyn all depressed before they left.

Christie stood up as Heilyn left and waited for Kaci to come back so they could head back to their room and change out of their wet clothes. When Kaci came back, Christie looked at her, still pink across her cheeks. "So, how long have you known about that particular venture?"

Kaci sniggered and ruffled Christie's hair, much to her displeasure. "Ever since Max let me on that laptop. I have to admit, losing to you at MarioKart doesn't hurt that much anymore. You were, what, twelve when you made that? I heard the voices of several grown men groan when your name popped up in a game." She grinned and Christie laughed.

"Oh yeah, they hated me. I actually went against the Game Grumps at one point, but it was a live-stream dealio, so we didn't have any footage of it uploaded." She smirked at the memory. "If I remember correctly, I kicked their ass about two days before I left."

Kaci looked at her with a slack jaw. "Seriously? You went up against Arin and Jon?"

Christie nodded. "But that's a story for another day. We need to get changed and back out before Heilyn, and possibly Rovelaen, get antsy and leave us behind to go get these dumb movies." They stepped out of the cafeteria and sped up, trying to spend as little time in the rain as possible, not that it mattered as they were already as wet as they were going to get because of the rain.

Christie and Kaci ran through the door to their room, giggling like idiots at the state they were in. While Christie found the clothes she was going to change into, Kaci headed straight for the changing room. “And what are you going to get changed into?” Christie quizzed as the door shut.

“Well, I’m not going to get any more of my decent clothes ruined, plus I can easily avoid getting wet altogether if I’m in my Spirit attire.” Her voice was slightly muffled, being in the separate changing room, but Christie could hear her clearly enough.

“Oh yeah? And how’s that?”

Kaci came out with her wet clothes dangling on her fingers and a smirk on her lips. “I can go invisible. The rain’ll just pass straight through me while I’m like that and I won’t get wet.”

Christie sniggered as she walked around her to get changed. “Yeah, but you still have wet hair and ears,” she laughed as Kaci pulled a face at her pointing that out.

“Just hurry up so we can get going, I’d rather not be out longer than we have to be.”

Christie rolled her eyes and shut the door, muttering obscenities at her knowing full well she could hear her clearly even through the door.

Saiph was in her nightmare again, unfortunately. She was afraid that she would never be able to overcome it. She didn't know how long she had been asleep, but no matter how many times she tried to wake herself up, she couldn't do it. Maybe it was because of the medicine Nik had given her, or maybe it was because her body was still paralyzed with sleep. It didn't matter what the reason was; she couldn't escape.

There was always a different scenario playing out in her head, but as usual, they all started with her running down the same, endless hallway. Rian would taunt her and remind her of all the things he would do to her, and sometimes she couldn't tell if it was him or Heilyn speaking those words. She always dreaded coming to that dead end, because it would always mean that the worst was yet to come. This time in the dream, when she came to a stop and turned around to face her attacker, she held back a cry of fear. It wasn't just Rian that had been chasing her, and was now walking up to her. Heilyn was joining him, the same sneer plastered on his face. Two brothers hellbent on making her suffer.

She wanted to wake up. She wanted to open her eyes and escape her dream, but she couldn't. She curled into a ball in her dream and cried out as the two men descended on her.

Once it was over, Saiph found herself back in the hallway again. Her dream just kept going on repeat, and she was getting resigned to her fate. Once she heard the footsteps behind her, she started to run. As expected, the taunts returned, and Heilyn was still a part of it. However, the things they were saying were...different this time. Different than the usual threats.

"I'm coming back for you, Saiph," Rian crooned.

"I'll be seeing you again real soon."

"You can't hide from me forever."

For some reason, she felt like this was foreboding. He sounded so confident in what he was saying...she shook her head. This was a dream. Her subconscious was making this up. She continued to run until she got to the dead end again. Heilyn's voice wafted over to her as the two men approached.

"I won't be there to save you this time."

Saiph rested her hands on the wall and tried to breathe deeply. If she could just make it through these nightmares, she would be able to wake up eventually, to the real world. That was the only thing keeping her sane.

Nik was in the back with his clipboard in his hand, checking off everything that they had stored, propping the door open with a chair so if Saiph woke up, he could hear her if she called. What he didn’t expect to hear was a muffled cry coming from the curtained room. He popped out through the gap he’d left, wearing a concerned frown. “Miss Saiph?” he called out, just in case she was awake, but when he got no answer, he pushed the door open so he could slip out, putting the clipboard down on the chair as he headed to where he’d left Saiph to sleep.

“Miss Saiph?” he asked again as he popped his head into the curtains, a lot softer than before as he was closer now. She was still asleep, but from the expression on her face, it couldn’t have been a restful one. He walked over but hesitated, wanting to reach out and put his hand on her shoulder to wake her up. In the end, he did, putting his hand on her shoulder and shaking her gently. “Miss Saiph, please wake up. It’s just a dream.” He hoped she could hear him. Seeing her like this reminded him of Christie on that night and he didn’t need that right now.

Saiph felt a hand touch her shoulder, and at first, she thought it was Rian or Heilyn about to spin her around and throw her down on the floor. However, she felt a strange tugging sensation that wasn’t from her dream, and she realized with relief that she was finally waking up. Her eyes opened slowly, as if it took all of her strength, and it took her a moment to remember where she was. She managed to tilt her head so she could look at who woke her up, and she felt a small surge of happiness that Nik had been the one to save her, so to speak. Without even thinking, she sat up and wrapped her arms around him. “Thank you,” she cried softly, not caring that she would be embarrassed about this later.

Nik blinked once in shock, before returning her hug. “You’re welcome, Miss.” He pulled back out of her grip with a small smile. “But may I ask what had you spooked enough to cry out from your sleep?” He didn’t want to pry, and if she wouldn’t tell him, then he would drop it and leave her be again.

Saiph also pulled away and rubbed her arms, a faint blush crawling over her cheeks. She hoped Nik didn't notice as she wiped at the tears in her eyes and tried to make light of the situation. "Sorry, I wish you hadn't seen me like that. It's nothing new, just a nightmare I've had for a long time now. How embarrassing..." she murmured softly.

"Don't worry about it, if you've been talking to Max then you know I've seen worse." Nik gave her a reassuring smile and decided to change the subject, to take her mind off her nightmare. "I must thank you as well, Miss Saiph. If you hadn't told me that Christie was here, I would've reacted very differently when I ran into her shortly after leaving you."

Saiph stopped rubbing her arms as she looked at him with mild surprise. "You saw her? How...how did it go?" she asked carefully. She didn't know how she should react, and hopefully she wouldn't get all in his business unless he included her in it.

Nik winced as he remembered the encounter in the cafeteria. "I could've handled it better, I must admit. Rare is it for me to run from a situation, but I used the fact I still had the medicine for you to escape from her." For some reason, he was finding it easy to talk to Saiph, even though he'd only just met her.

:bulletblue: During their vacation in our third RP towards the end of the story, Heilyn got drunk and ended up cutting off all of Rovelaen's hair, which didn't sit so well with Rovelaen considering he loves his hair. In the few weeks since they've been back, it has already grown back to its former length.
