Requiem of the Dead S07E06 - [We're Together]
Saiph and Heilyn instantly swiveled their heads around to look up at the crates, and Saiph had to bite back a moan as she covered her mouth with her hand. No... It couldn't be... Tears began to form in her eyes and she didn't even notice as they spilled over.
Heilyn’s mouth had gone slack when he realized who it was he was looking at. He almost blurted out, "You can't be real," but he kept his words to himself. This was impossible. How...?
Saiph stared at Kaci with such intensity she was afraid she would make herself go blind. She was looking for any sign that this was a hallucination, or an illusion, or somebody's cruel, cruel idea o

Rovelaen was standing outside of the Umbra tent, his arms crossed and his head tilted back so he could stare at the night sky. The wind was strong and fierce, and it kept blowing past him with an icy chill that he didn’t feel. He expected to feel his hair fly in the wind, but he remembered that he had cut it all off the previous night. Absentmindedly, he raised one of his hands to brush his fingers through it. He would never have long hair again. He was fine with that.
He had watched the performance that Christie had given, but he didn’t know how to feel about it. If he hadn’t been so affected by Kaci’s death, he migh

Christie was sat backstage, her back against a couple of crates while trying to stifle some of her sobs. She hadn't meant to do that at the end. The two were supposed to just walk off into the darkness, stopping only to kiss briefly before they disappeared and it finished. She was a little glad that Rovelaen hadn't turned up to see it in the end, he would kill her for doing that.

"Thank you to the five that have made this possible. You can go back to your seats and once you have, the main story will begin." As they disappeared off stage, Christie carried on speaking, hoping that Heilyn wouldn't kill her too badly for this seeing as she didn't know the whole story behind how he and Rovelaen got together. The peacock jumped off her arm and started showing off mid-air.
"The peacock wandered around for years on his own, no reason to do anything, until he stumbled on a scene. A young boy with his older brother; but they weren't playing games, oh no. The elder was jealous of the young boy because he had gifts that no human

Once the audience had calmed back down, a single spotlight came on, revealing Christie stood center stage. She had her head tilted so that her dirty blonde hair covered her blind eye rather than her eye patch, and her arm hung by her side so that she wasn't tempted to fiddle with the ends of her ribbons now that she was on stage. She was looking out at the audience with an intense gaze as she spoke, her voice unnervingly clear to everyone even though there was no mic and speaker set-up to carry her voice.
"I came here tonight to tell a story. One of love, of loss, and of heroism. However, I cannot tell this story by myself. As some of you ha

Christie was pacing backstage of the Umbra tent, fiddling with one of the loose ribbons on one of the bows that tied the front of her corset together. About an hour ago she'd kicked Saiph out of her room when Nik came by with her new performance outfit. It consisted of a black, laced up bodice attached to a choker around her neck by a half strap on her right side. On her left, there was a short sort of half cape that just covered her stump at the front while it draped down to her hip at the back.

Saiph ran all the way to her room, but she stopped right outside of the door. She was still crying, although she could easily hide that because of the rain that was still pouring outside. The things she couldn't hide from them was the fear in her eyes and the newly formed scratch on her cheek. She shakily raised her hand to her face and flinched at the slight sting, pulling her fingers away to see a thin line of red before being washed away by the rain.
It took her five minutes to calm herself back down, and she realized that she was still holding her chopsticks in her hand. With an agonizingly slow pace, she fixed her hair back into a bun a

Nik put his arm around Christie's shoulders, but she shrugged him off. She didn't want to be touched right now, and he could respect that, but he wanted her to stop brooding. He thought up something that would take her mind off Kaci for a bit. "I asked Saiph something a while ago that she didn't know. I was hoping you'd enlighten me. What other flowers can you create, besides roses of course?" He bit back a sigh of relief as it seemed to work.
"Well, I can use any type of flower, but my ability revolves around what the meaning is behind the flower. I use roses because love is a neutral emotion and no one can get hurt...by..." She trailed off

Christie walked with her head hung low. Even though she had her fringe to shield her eyes from the rain, she didn't want to be blinded by it. She kept her mind open for any sign of her wolf on the way, but it was still empty, still only the other Circus members that she could feel as they hid from the rain. As she walked, she ran through the list of places where Kaci could be, as she wasn't in the stables. After their room, there was the main Umbra tent, maybe the Ignis tent, the cafeteria, even the Healers. She just wanted her to be somewhere.

Saiph looked over at him when she felt his arm around her, and her smile grew a little. She handed him the umbrella that Christie had left behind and murmured, "The Circus is too depressing right now... How about a simple walk into town?"
Nik took the umbrella and awkwardly opened it with one hand, but he managed it. At least it would stop him fro
